Clean

The Adams Morgan Partnership provides sidewalk cleaning services in the BID area seven days a week.  The cleaners in their blue uniforms sweep sidewalks, remove litter and leaves, eliminate graffiti, remove illegal posters, straighten newspaper boxes, and notify BID management of other larger problems (e.g. illegal dumping, damaged bus shelters, large fallen tree branches, etc.) so that they can be quickly resolved. Cleaning services are provided by Ready To Work, a work-readiness program of the Gospel Rescue Mission.

For more information about this program or any of the programs of the Adams Morgan Partnership, please contact Andrew Davis at adavis@adamsmorganonline.org or at 202-997-0783.  For more information about the Gospel Rescue Mission or Ready To Work, please contact Antonio Otero at (202) 842-1731 X240

Safe

The Adams Morgan Partnership works to make Adams Morgan a safer place in several ways.

Seven days a week, from noon until 3am, uniformed “Security Aides” patrol the neighborhood, remaining in constant contact with the police, reporting suspicious activities, providing residents and visitors with a sense of safety through their presence, and answering any questions directed at them regarding neighborhood services, businesses, and transportation.

Additionally, the Partnership supports “reimbursable detail” overtime police working with the BID on weekend nights.  These Metropolitan Police Department Officers work closely with the security aides to provide extra coverage on the busiest nights of the week, Friday and Saturday, during the late night hours.

The Partnership also works closely with the MPD and other city agencies to ensure that sufficient police coverage is provided in Adams Morgan ant to address other issues (such as traffic and lighting) that have security implications. Information-sharing and open lines of communication are important parts of this program.

For more information about this program or any of the programs of the Adams Morgan Partnership, please contact Andrew Davis at adavis@adamsmorganonline.org or at 202-997-0783.

Marketing

The Adams Morgan Partnership helps to market Adams Morgan and the businesses in the neighborhood, to tell the story of this area and the unique people who are part of it.

A major part of the marketing program is supporting the annual neighborhood festival, Adams Morgan Day, organized by the Adams Morgan Main Street group.  For more information about Adams Morgan Day, visit www.adamsmorgandayfestival.com or call (202) 232-1960.

The marketing program is still under development.  If you would like to participate in forming the program, please contact Andrew Davis at adavis@adamsmorganonline.org or at 202-997-0783.
